About BRYHT

Hello, welcome to BRYHT!  I am just a little bit obsessed with finding the right carrying solutions for active people, and if the bags can accommodate a multitude of uses then even better.  I believe that you should have the best of all worlds – a fantastically practical bag that is just at home on your bike/ hike/ visit to the gym as it is being carried into the office.

I am based in the market town of Shaftesbury in Dorset. Situated in the Blackmore Vale it is one of the oldest and highest towns in England, the “Shaston” of Thomas Hardy’s novels.

Why the name BRYHT?

At first glance it may look like a mis-spelling of bright!  It is an Anglo-Saxon adjective meaning ‘bright’, as mentioned in the Bosworth Toller Anglo-Saxon dictionary.

For me, ‘bryht designs’ are those that blend practicality, versatility and beautiful materials, from rugged cordura fabrics for hiking adventures to hand woven fabrics like Harris Tweed helping to keep traditional skills alive.

I hope you enjoy browsing through the website and if you have any questions I will be happy to help.

Claire
